{Scrappy Goodness} You and Me

Hello and Welcome.  Today I wanted to share a double page layout I created for Scrapbooks Plus DT.  I haven't added pictures to them yet.  I don't always create layouts for the store with photos.  I actually like to create layouts both ways with pictures picked out and without them for future pictures.  It keeps my mind working in different ways.

I used the My Mind's Eye Cut and Paste Collection to create this layout.  I so love this collection!

{Scrappy Goodness} Just be yourself mini

Hello and Welcome.  Today I wanted to show you a quick mini book I made using KaiserCraft's new Tea Break line.  I created this book with the 6 1/2 paper pad, collectables pack, a few doilies, bling and ribbon.
Tea Break Paper Pad
Tea Break Collectables

My book ends up being 10 pages including the front and back cover but you could make yours more or less pages if you want.  I used the 6 1/2 paper as is for the size of my book.

Let's take a look.  This is the front cover.

Inside pages.  I cut most of my photos down to 4x4 or 4x5.  It seemed like a good size for the book.  I started with a piece of paper and selected a picture and then layered different elements until I was happy with the outcome.

For the back cover, I added a journaling block in the corner with the girls name and date.

If you haven't seen this line you should check it out.  It is really beautiful.  I loved working with it.  Thank you for stopping by.

{Scrappy Goodness} You Inspire

Happy Happy Monday! Today I wanted to share a layout with you that I created using Echo Park's Reflection line.  I LOVE THIS LINE!  It is an amazing line.  So beautiful and versatile.

I actually created this layout a while ago to enter into two challenges however, life got in the way and I didn't get it posted in enough time.  I used a sketch from Once Upon a Sketch.  They have really beautiful sketches.  This sketch happen to be their October sketch. I also used Bird is Word challenge to use the word inspire.  I was sad to see that they might be closing their blog down soon.  I really love their site and will miss their challenges.

So on with my layout! When I saw the Bird is the word challenge word, I new it would be perfect for this layout about my sister-in-law.  She is an amazing individual and I am truly lucky to be able to call her my sister.

This is one of my favorite layouts of all time I think.  I love all the layers and colors, they fit perfectly with this picture of Priscilla. I decided to do hidden journaling for this layout.  More because I thought it was so beautiful I didn't want to see my handwriting on it, however, it also got a little personal and I wasn't sure I wanted to share with the world.  Hope you enjoy!

{Scrappy Goodness} Home

Happy Wednesday!  Today I am sharing another layout I did for Scrapbooks Plus DT using Little Yellow Bicycle's Feels Like Home collection.

We recently moved into a townhouse and this line is perfect to scrapbook it. While I usually end up doing mini albums of our homes once we are settled, I thought I would do a quick layout to talk about how excited we are about having more space for our family of 4.

I hope you will me inspired to create your own layout about your home with this wonderful line of products.

{Scrappy Goodness} Heart Coffee

Welcome, Welcome, Welcome!  Today I am sharing a layout I did for the Scrapbooks Plus DT.  We are using Little Yellow Bicycle's Feels like Home collection.

When I saw the coffee cup paper I knew I wanted to do a layout about my love for coffee.  I thought it would be fun to do a layout on something a little non-traditional.  And anyone that knows me in a little knows that I have a huge love for coffee!

I kept it pretty simple with this layout.  I still need to write on that bare journaling card you see.  Just need to cut my two paragraphs down to fit on it. :)

{Scrappy Goodness} This is Life

Happy Saturday!  Hope everyone is having a great weekend so far!  Today I wanted to share with you a layout I did using Echo Park's Paper & Glue collection.  The DT is using this line this month at Scrapbooks-Plus.  As you can see this line can be used for so much more than just school layouts.  I did this layout of my youngest facetime-ing with my mom.  She babbled as if she was really talking to her.  It was great to watch.

Thanks for stopping by.  If you haven't been into the store to see all the great examples from the DT team yet this month you really should.  They did an amazing job with this line.

{Scrappy Goodness} Picture Frame

Happy Monday Everyone!  I'm very sorry to be MIA for the past week.  I was moving and sick at the same time.  I just didn't make it to the blog last week.  I'm still unpacking and finding stuff.  It is an on going long process, for sure.

However, I wanted to take a moment and share a picture frame I made recently.  I used Bo Bunny's C' est La Vie line.  It is such a beautiful line.  I wanted to create this quick picture frame as a present.  I love making these frames because they are something you can usually whip up quickly for presents.  The colors in this line are absolutely fabulous.  I used one sheet of paper and the 12x12 chipboard sheet to create this.  Along with some pearls I had in my stash.

I painted the picture frame with paint I had.  Once, I cut my paper down to the size of my frame I used mod podge to glue it all down.  I then just started layering the chipboard pieces until I got the look I wanted.  I also added glitter around the inside edge for extra bling factor. I then cut down the backside of some of the paper that was left over to add the Follow your Heart to the opening of the frame.

Let's take  a look at the overall:

{Scrappy Goodness} Wave Hello

Hello!  Today I wanted to share with you a card I made with Bo Bunny's Key Lime Line.  When I saw the wave hello on the back side of the wipe out page, I knew I wanted to use it for a card.  I loved the idea of mixing in the surfboard elements to play along with the theme.  I layered some of the journaling cards on the bottom first.  Then I used foam squares to pop up the wave hello and the surfboards on the left.  In the noteworthy pack was a little the wave card so I added it to the top to go with the theme and give some more dimension.  I then added a few jewels and you have a quick and easy card.

I also wanted to do a little something on the inside of the card.  I took one of the noteworthy elements and added it to the inside.  It provides a little space for a message and brings the wave theme to the inside of the card as well.

Thanks for looking!

{Scrappy Goodness} Just Crusin'

I know I'm posting really late in the day but I wanted to share this layout I did using Sketchabilities #96 sketch challenge.  Below is the sketch for this weeks challenge.  For this sketch I used Bo Bunny's Key Lime Line, which is this month's design team kit for Scrapbooks-Plus.  I love this line and this sketch.  I need a little extra inspiration this month and this sketch provided just the assistance I needed.

Below is my take on the sketch:

{Scrappy Goodness} Love the Smiles

Hello!  Today I want to share with you a layout I did using this month's design team kit at Scrapbooks Plus. This month the design team is using Bo Bunny's Key Lime line.  This line is full of a lot of bright fun summer colors.

However, I had this picture of my daughter Jaleesa that I really wanted to scrap.  Even though she is in a fall outfit, the colors were pretty neutral so it worked great.  This line as some great basic patterns that allow you scrap more then just beach or pool pictures.

My layout was fairly simple.  I wanted to really just add several layers and show off that great arrow patterned paper.  As I was working, I felt like my layout was a little cold so I added some doilies to soften everything up a bit.  The flowers helped with that as well.

{Scrappy Goodness} It's a Good Day to Have a Good Day

Hello and Welcome!  Today I wanted to take a moment and share a layout I did with Fancy Pants Line What a Wonderful Day for the Scrapbooks Plus Design Team.  I had this great picture of my girls playing together.  I thought playfulness of the paper went well with this picture of them.  When I saw the banner strip and quote I knew wanted to use for this layout.  I just love all the chevron patterns, hearts and arrows in this line.  It was a lot of fun to layer all of them together.

The Ephemera pack has a lot of great embellishments in it.

The decorative bags make a great place for hiddened journaling and the label sticker sheet gave me a great title for this layout.

The sticker fundamental sheet provided some great additional elements to add to my layout also.  I am addicted to those little woodend cameras from Studio Calico and enamel dots from My Mind's Eye.

Thank you for stopping by today!

{Scrappy Goodness} What a wonderful day.

Today I wanted to share a layout I did that is 6x12.  I created this layout specifically to use in my Project Life album.  I wanted to showcase a few more pictures of a day that my girls and I spent with my mom at the US botanical gardens.  I thought it would be a fun way to add a little something extra into my project life album.

For this layout I used the Fancy Pants line What a wonderful day.  It is a fun whimsical line.  At first I thought this was going to be hard to do a 6x12 layout but it was actually quite fun to do.  I did a lot of layering like I would with any other layout.  I think this size layout is going to become a common size for me.  I love what it adds to my project life album.  I will probably do a second layout to add to the back side of the page protector.
