I'm here to share with you one of the five layouts I have created this month using the Simple Stories So Fancy Line. I wasn't kidding when I told you I had been crafting like crazy with this line.
I just loved those chipboard frames. They are fun to use. I did this layout of a couple pictures of my husband and I. I don't do a lot of layouts of us for whatever reason. But, I love these two pictures of us. Super simple layout and using at least one of every variety of everything that came in my kit.
Have a beautiful day! Smiles, Jessica

{Scrappy Goodness} Love
Hello and Welcome to The Memory Nest color challenge Tuesday! Today the design team will be showing you their layouts using the below color scheme. When I saw these colors I immediately thought of using an old DCWV paper stack line that I had called Linen Closet. I loved the colors and they worked great with this picture of my husband and I.
I started out trying to keep this layout balanced in the gender department. But, I couldn't help it I saw all those beautiful flowers in my stash and I just couldn't stop adding them. I will tell you something that was driving me crazy about this paper though. I was having trouble keeping the adhesive working, if that makes any sense. I don't know if I got a bad refill or if it was the glitter and texture of the paper, but it did not want to stay stuck. :)
Once again, I love CHALLENGES that help me use up my ever growing stash.
And a few close-ups for those that like to see all the details...
Have a beautiful day! Smiles, Jessica

32 during 32 | Layout 3
Layout 3 of 12: happy, joy, love
I wanted to do a layout this week of with a picture from our wedding. Believe it or not this is only the second layout out that I have done of our wedding pictures. For a long time, I think I was a little scared to scrap them. I had this idea that they needed to be perfect and all match and blah, blah, blah. I am leaving that notion behind and going with the flow. This a pretty simple layout but, sometimes that is what you need. I had all these supplies in my stash, I liked them so they became a layout. Simple, simple, simple. In the album it goes and check off a wedding layout and another item on my 32 list!
Hope you enjoy looking. Thanks for stopping by.Have a beautiful day! Smiles, Jessica

Welcome and Overjoyed
Today in honor of my first post ever and my wedding anniversary, I am posting a layout that I created with one of my favorite pictures from that day five years ago. I have been wanting to start a blog devoted to my scrappy and crafty things for some time now. I happen to have an amazingly supportive husband that said go for it. After talking about it for months, I'm finally here.
Once I finally decided on a name, I knew immediately what I wanted my first post to be about. This is the first layout I have ever done with about my wedding. I'm not exactly sure why. I think I was always so worried about ruining the pictures, the layouts not turning out good or whatever.
But, even so I decided to dive right in and try a LO (layout).
Overjoyed by Stevie Wonder was our first dance song. My husband only wanted two things when we got married, chocolate cake and my hair worn long and down. I said fine, you also have to pick a song for our first dance. He came and told me what he had selected a couple days before and it couldn't have been a better choice. It is not only a sensational song, it also inspired my blog name and layout tile.
I hope you will enjoy this blog and it will inspire you to be creative!
Thanks for reading,
Jessica
