32 during 32 | Atlantic Ocean and the beach

I was lucky enough to complete two items of my 32 list while we were at Virginia Beach a couple of weekends ago.  While we were at John's family reunion, we took off one weekend and took the girls to the beach for some quite family time.  Jalyn loves the beach so much.  She loves to dig in the sand, she definitely did not want to leave.

I love the beach so much it is such a relaxing place to me.  I am not one to lay out and suntan but I just love getting lost in my own thoughts, people watching, listening to Jalyn giggle as the water hits her feet, digging in the sand with her or just reading a book and slowing life down a little.  I even got John to admit that the beach is not so bad, which is a huge accomplishment.

Yeah! Two more things crossed off! I am still loving this project.

We are headed to Virginia Beach for a couple of days.  We are excited to go to the beach and soak up the salt air.  Hopefully, I will be able to check off a couple of my items on my 32 list!  Love spending time with our little family.

Sea World

I went to visit my parents over the 4th of July holiday this year. We decided to go to Sea World one day.  Jay loved it so much.  She watched everything with wide eyes and curiosity.

During the Shamu Show, Jay sang through the whole thing.  It was not a little soft barely can you hear her sing.  Oh no, it was a loud can everyone hear me, I'm singing along.  Halfway through my sister who was sitting on the end of my parents asked if that was Jay singing.  It was so cute.  She loved the show and never took her eyes off of it the whole time.

California and the San Diego Zoo

I know this is a little late but, I worked 50 hours last week so I am a little behind with things. Over the Fourth we went to California to spend the weekend with my family.

On Friday, we went to the San Diego Zoo. We rented a Chrysler Town and Country so we wouldn't have to drive two cars. Let me just tell you if I was going to buy a van this would be the one! Chrysler thought of almost everything plus there was a ton of leg room. Which as you know we are a family of breeders so this is very important.

We had never been to the SD Zoo. It was so much fun. The SDZ is very large; we didn't even make it through the whole thing. But, we got to see the Pandas and the Giraffes. I was a little disappointed that they didn't have dolphins. However, my mom brought up a good point. In SoCal, if you want to see dolphins go to the beach and look out.

Afterwards, we took my dad to Outback for his birthday dinner! I can't believe he is 58 this year, he doesn't seem that old.

For the Fourth, we grilled out and played cards. It was relaxing. Just what we all needed. We didn't go see fireworks because there are very few places around my parents that were having them with that little forest fire thing. Plus, we didn't want to fight the crowds to go. Come to think of it this is about the fourth year in a row we haven't seen fireworks. We might have to change that next year!
