{Thankful Goodness} 30 Thankful Days!

Happy November!  Today I'm starting a journey of 30 Thankful Days.  I do this just about every year in some form.  Three years I completed a mini album for my 30 days.  You can see that here.  The last two years I have just been posting to facebook everyday.  I decided this year it was high time I got back to making a mini for my 30 thankful days.

Cathy as created some great digi templates for this.  I think I'm going to do a little bit of a hybrid theme this year.  We will see how it goes.  My goal is to post every Friday with how far I am for the week.  We will see how that all goes. *smiles* We know how that goes with this busy time of year.

Ok, so here is my plan.  I have never done anything digi before.  However, I watched this video that Cathy did. I'm determined to figure it out.  I'm going to use her 4x6 template for my album.  I'm also going to print these sheets to keep with me to help document each day.

I'm also going to use the Basic Grey Persimmon Collection for accents and such.

We will see how it all turns out!  Wish me luck!

{Thankful Goodness} 5 Things

If you missed my first post on 5 things you can read about it here.

So here we go, this weeks 5 things...

1. I have a new favorite picture of my girls. I snapped these one morning when they happen to be wearing their matching pjs.  Too cute, uh...  Yes, I already have them printed to scrap!  Just trying to figure out what paper to use!

2. With fall brings all the pumpkin spice flavored things... air freshners, lattes, creamers, coffee, m&m's.  Yep even m&m's have joined the pumpkin spice bandwagon.  Let me tell you they are delicious!  Target was sold out yesterday or I would have bought more to save for the future.  Have I mentioned I love fall?

3. I have found a few new recipes to try and I can't wait to buy all the ingredients this weekend.

4. My whole family loves edamame.  Yes, I did say my WHOLE family, girls included.  And if you know any of the eating struggles we have had with Jalyn you know that this is a Praise God and Thank you God moment for us.  As a family, we can easily eat a whole bag while we are cooking dinner.  I buy these and throw them in the microwave.  I would just like to buy them on my own but haven't found them like that yet.

5.  Receiving good news!  I love when I get good news.  It makes for a really great day!  (Yes, I will announce on my blog in about a week.  Right now I'm holding on to the news.)

{Thankful Goodness} 5 Things

I found lately that I am not staying as positive as I once did.  I could sit here all day and try to figure out why. I really don't want to waste that sort of time.  So here is what I have decided.  I'm going to find 5 things to focus on to be thankful for in my life.  Sometimes I will blog about them sometimes I won't.  Some weeks they will be the same as the week before, sometimes they will be different. However, I have to get back to always staying positive no matter what is going on!

So here it goes... my 5 things for this week...

1. Fall- The leaves are changing and it is getting beautiful outside!  I love this time of year.

2. My girls are forming that special bond that sisters form.  I'm enjoying which there relationship evolve and change.  They are so different but it is fun to see them enjoy each other.

3. Love my new townhouse.  I love having more space to just be.

4. My crafty/scrappy time.  I really just can't get enough of it.  It is not just my creative outlet but my time to breath and regroup.

5. A new TV series to watch with my hubby.  Or I should say new to us.  We are currently watching Homeland with Claire Danes.  We love to watch shows together.  Something we can watch just us after the kids go to bed and snuggle and enjoy each other's company.
