We have a lime!

Hello Everyone!

For those of you who don't know yet John and I are pregnant!

We went to the doctor last week to have our first ultrasound! I am 11 weeks. We are due March 25th! Two days before John's birthday. He is hoping I hold on until then. We are so excited and can't wait. I am not sure about having an Aries though. I guess it is to late to change uh? However, we are both stubborn people so I am positive I will get stuck with that trait no matter what! LOL!

John and I watched the Olympics like crazy and we have decided a swimmer would be nice! How many swirl people do you see that are swimmers. We could be the next Tiger of swimming. We found this extremely funny...but you have to really understand our humor. LOL!

Anyways...

To answer the most common questions I receive...
I am nauseated all day. I can't wait to get through the 1st trimester, just a couple more weeks! I sleep every chance I get. I have to fight to stay awake during most meetings, especially if they are stupid and I have figured out in 10mins how to fix a situation that takes everyone else an hour long meeting to figure out. Anyways... Yes, I am planning to find out what the baby is. We are already tired of saying the baby. Sometimes we call it baby JB because Boy or Girl that will be the initials. (No, I am not telling anyone our names, until I know if the baby is a boy or girl.) I visit a website that compares the size of the baby every week to a fruit or vegetable which helps put the size into perspective. This week is a lime! I am trying not to think about when it becomes a watermelon!

This will be my parents first grandchild. This will be John's parents second. Curtis decided he needed to do something first instead of his older siblings always getting those titles. I spoke to my Grandpa about a month ago and he informed me this is great-grand baby 16 for him! John said he has no clue where ours would fall on his side. Something about 12 Aunts and Uncles that will do that for you.

What else? Yes, I already have decided on a theme for the nursery. I am not a big person on anything traditional and baby colors are no different I found a blanket at Babies R Us and that is what I am running with. It will be pretty contemporary.

I am not going to have an epidural. I have the worst luck and I will be the one in a billion that they miss and harm me for ever. Plus, I am scared of needles when my mom can't give me the shot. She is the only one who has never hurt me!

For the most part, I have been pretty happy go lucky. I am letting John stress over everything for me. Otherwise, I will get to overwhelmed which I do easily. Most of you know John doesn't show to many expressions, unlike me who shows everything right on my face. However, he has more expression in his face then ever! He loves to tell everyone about the baby and gets so excited his eyebrows even raise!

I am attaching a couple of the pictures of our ultrasound. If any of you are on facebook, I will be posting updates there as well. I will send out updates as we progress! Sorry for the long email, but I had a lot to say. What else is new right! LOL!

Love always,
Jessica and John
