I had this idea for a layout to celebrate MLK, Jr day. It sort of evolved into something more than my original idea. I didn't have any great plans for today but after having a lunch date with my husband, I knew I had to create this LO. Our lunch wasn't anything special. Just a little time we shared just the two of us without our daughter running around. The 'special' thing for us is that we finally live in a place where we can go to lunch and not get looks or stares the majority of the time that we are out. It inspired this simple LO, that says so much. But to me it is one that will 'teach' my daughter a lot.
There is a tag on the right with some hidden journaling for my daughter. It basically explains this special day, why it is so important and what it means for her. It shows her my appreciation, my heart, my love, my frustrations and my hopes.
So again on this great day, Thank you, Dr. King for dreaming and encouraging us to dream!

Love it, Jessica! :)

ReplyDeleteThese are wonderful, can you write me and tell me how you made those word high raise. The word "For Dreaming". I really love that and the flowers really added to it. Thank you so much for sharing this.
ReplyDeleteScrapp 'n Nana- I was trying to send you an email but I could get it to show me your email address. So, I hope this gets to you!
ReplyDeleteThe 'for dreaming' are thickers letter stickers. They come puffy, sparkly and pink! It you have used thickers before you should check them out they come in a lot of different styles and colors!
Your layout is wonderful.
