Dear sweet precious baby girl,
I am continually amazed every day by you. Here we sit in the hospital yet again, with an IV in your arm and breathing treatments every four hours but, your main concern is if you can ride the bike or watch bubble cake (Strawberry Shortcake). Unfortunately for you, going to doctors, hospitals, and having needles stuck in you has become the norm. But, through it all you remain such a trooper!
You cry and ask if all done, when getting poked with needles; then when it is done you smile and say oh ok. You get mad when they won't let you hold your own breathing treatment and you are starting to even know when it is time to have one. You have every doctor, nurse, respiratory therapist, medical assistants and even the janitorial staff wrapped around your tiny perfect fingers. You cry and they run to your side, you smile and they smile, you say 'no like it' and they feel guilty, they play with you, love on you and even hold you so mom can run downstairs for a much needed extra large coffee. They have fallen in love with you. I can't blame them, you are perfection.
My heart is telling me we may have a long road ahead of us, but I know that you will continue taking it with a grain of salt and remain our happy little girl. You my baby are a champ!
Love, mommy
(FYI... I actually wrote this when we were in the hospital but I am just now getting a chance to post it. I also want to say thank you to everyone who has been keeping Jay in your thoughts and prayers. We love the support!)
