Embracing Summertime in DC

Before we left on our little summer adventure, we headed into the City for some quite family time.  It happen to be a really beautiful summer day.  The wind was blowing, the sun was shining and the humidity was low.  It is one of those summer days that make me believe summer can be something to rejoice in instead of something to resent.

We started the day by walking around the gardens outside of the Smithsonian Castle.

Then we headed over to have a ride on the Carousel.  It is really old and fast.  It made mommy a little dizzy.

Then we headed to the Sculpture Garden outside of the Hirshhorn Museum.  Jay loved the water fountain.

Then we had an awesome dinner at PF Changs.  She loved the big horse outside.

Daddy took her on a little train ride.  He said it was not meant for tall people.

She wasn't so sure about playing in the water fountain with the kids, so she was just an observer.

It was a wonderfully perfect day!
