Today is the first year that I haven't had this day off from work or school. It is a little weird to me that people are just working today as if it is just another day.
John and I had a funny conversation with Jalyn this morning about Martin Luther King Jr. It is way harder then you would think to explain to a 3 1/2 year old what a great man he was and everything he did for our country. Though we probably jumbled it up a little, in the simplest of terms it came down to us saying, he was a great man who helped us treat people more nicely. He wanted everyone to get along with each other. These conversations will get more in depth over the years for sure, but the conversations have at least started.
We will also pray for him and his family tonight and thank God for what he did for us and our country. His was not an easy road to walk, but we are thankful he walked down it.
