One Little Word 2013: Create

I have been selecting one word each year for a few years now.  It is the brain child of Ali Edward's, who I love.  She provides so much inspiration to me, not just scrapbooking but in everyday life.  If you would like to learn more about one little word you can go here.  I'm still debating if I want to take her OLW class over at Big Picture or not.  The first year I took it, I made it about half way through the class.  Last year I jumped around a lot but it was becoming a chore not something fun so I let it go.  Mainly for me I wasn't feeling all the writing.  I tend to want more of the creative outlet than the writing.  However, this year she is changing the prompts up and it is peaking my interest.  Since I can join anytime in the year, I will probably do it next month and play catch up.  I also like what Nicole at Reaves party of four did last year with her OLW.  I will also enjoy reading Elise's take on OLW this year.

This year I have chosen the word Create for my OLW.  Sometimes selecting a word is super easy, other times it is a real struggle.  Usually when I'm over thinking it is when I struggle.  The years I don't think about it too much it seems to just pop into my head.  Sometimes a few words will float around in my head and until one just jumps out.  This year for the first time this was the only word that came to me.  I looked it up in the dictionary to see what it prompted me to think and feel.  Once I did that it all started flowing out of my head.  I embraced my word one hundred percent.

Most people know the general definition of the word create but here it for a gentle reminder.

Here is just a little start to my thinking of what I am hoping for my one little word create this year.

                   Create projects, scrapbooks, art, photos.
                   Create a nurturing environment.
                   Create more strength.
                   Create calm, awareness, mindful attitude.
Create memories, more love, relationships, experiences, smiles laughter
Maybe even create a little magic.

Have a beautiful day! Smiles, Jessica
