Today I'm so excited to share that I'm a guest designer over at The Memory Nest Blog. I am so honored to be able to share a layout on Leslie's Blog.

Last week she posed a color challenge that you can read more about here. I thought the colors were a lot of fun to use on a layout. I have been wanting to do a layout about our kitchen table and these colors lent themselves perfectly for that. I know it seems odd to want to do a layout about my kitchen table. However, it is a huge part of our lives and I wanted to document that.
The hardest part of this layout was selecting the papers to use. It seems that lately I have been using all papers from one product line. This really made me think and be more creative, which I love! Once I settled on my paper selections the layout came together pretty quickly.
On with my layout...
A quick look at the overall finished product. As you look at the close up views you will see layering is the name of the game here. This layout was all made with items from my stash. The papers were from different DCWV lines.
This is the left side of the layout. You can see where I stitched around most of the pages. I have just recently started using my sewing machine on my scrapbook pages. I really don't know what took me so long to do this. I love the dimension it adds to my pages.
For me, no layout is complete without a little bling and flowers. The little brown card layered between the green and blue is from the cobalt edition of Project Life. They make great editions to LOs for layering.
Again you can see the stitching around the edges. On the right side, I continued my flower, bling, button combo and you can see the beginning of my journaling card.
Just a little bit of bling on the top because I felt like it was missing something.
For the journaling card, I started with a 3x4 grid journaling card from my Project Life kit. I added some washi tape down the side to dress it up some. I had a lot of journaling for this LO and it almost didn't all fit. I am not fond of my handwritting but it is fast and gets the job done. Plus, it is rare that I have ink in my printer and I have though far enough ahead to buy it.
Thank you for stopping by my blog today. Hope you enjoyed my layout. If this is your first time here I hope you stay a while, have a look around and start following me. I love comments and visitors.
If this is not your first time here, make sure you hop over to the Memory Nest Blog today and leave some love for her design team as they are posting layouts on their version of the color challenge!
And double plus this is my last layout for my 32 during 32! Another item crossed of my list. Running out of time fast.
Have a beautiful day! Smiles, Jessica
