Well, the long awaited time has come! I was wrong of course! It is a girl! We are going to name her Jalyn Ann Fadely Barnes. She will have two middle names. We are so excited we can hardly stand it. It seems so much more real to us now! We both just kept looking at the ultrasound going it’s a girl. (Some of the pictures are below)

The ultrasound was the coolest thing! We got to see her mouth moving, that was really funny to watch. We didn’t want them to stop with the ultrasound. We met with our doctor right after the ultrasound and she went over everything with us. When we heard the heartbeat, it was 149 beats per minute; which is great! I have only gained two pounds total so far, which I love! The doctor said that was normal. My blood pressure was 125/65 and my urine was all ok. Currently, I have a low-laying placenta. My doctor is not worried about it at all. She said if it stays where it is then I may have more bleeding during delivery. I did some reading about it today and the worst outcome for this is I might have to have a c-section.

Currently, the baby is sitting breach; which is not a cause for concern. It just helped us tell what the gender was going to be a little easier. Our baby girl was not to lady like yesterday, she had her legs spread wide open for the world to see her genitals. *smile* They said her legs are going to be long and she will have large feet! Sorry, baby you are going to take after your momma and pappa! Maybe, if we are lucky she will get my narrow feet instead of John’s platypus feet! We are currently at 21 weeks and her legs and feet are measuring farther along. The rest of her body is measuring at 21 weeks.

Everyone keeps asking me how John is with having a girl. He is so excited. All day yesterday he kept saying we are having a girl and then he would rub my tummy and grin from ear to ear! My tummy by the way no longer fits in over half of my pants. I will take some pictures this weekend to post, only because people keep bugging me for them.

We started registering yesterday but didn’t get done. That can be very overwhelming. Who knew there were so many types of bottles! I thought a bottle was a bottle all day long! If anyone has suggestions on what products to get or not get, we’ll gladly love any suggestions you leave in our comments section or send us an email. We were drained when we left Babies’R’Us on Tuesday! John cracked me up later because he said registering for the wedding was much easier! I made a list of things to research because we couldn’t decide on various products. I think this may take us some time!

Hope all is well with everyone!
Love always, J & J

There is an arrow that points to why it is a girl. It is kind of hard to see the arrow though.

You can see her eyes, nose and mouth in this one.

This is her leg and then her foot.
