Wierd Pregnancy Stuff and An Update

One of John’s favorite things about me being pregnant is that I don’t drink coffee anymore. On some great occasion if we go out to breakfast somewhere I will get decaf, but for the most part since I have been pregnant I lost my craving for it. Last weekend, I was at the mall picking up some things and walked by the coffee shop that is in Borders. The smell was so great! All my love and senses for coffee came swarming back in my head! It was like the love never left me! You see, coffee is not just about the caffeine for me. It is like when toddlers have a security blanket. I love to start my day with a fresh cup of coffee. I love the smell, the taste, the warm cup in your hand, the warmth in your mouth and how it feels in your tummy once you have swallowed! The whole act of drinking coffee is a comfort for me! I really miss it and count down the days until I can go back to drinking my 32 ounces a day again! This is my favorite time of year! I love the fall for many reasons, however one of the best is it brings Pumpkin Spice Latte’s to Starbucks. I am happy to say that you can get a decaf latte! I am going to treat myself to one tomorrow morning after having a hard week of work. Plus, it is Halloween and what goes better on Halloween then a pumpkin spiced latte!

One of the other things that I was in love with was chocolate. Of all the candy out there, I would pass it all up for a piece of chocolate. There would be many times that John would pick up some sort of sugar candy and I would not even think of touching it. Now all that has changed! I want any type of sugar candy; gummy bears, starburst and skittles. I will pass the chocolate in a heartbeat right now. It is really weird. I don’t get it one bit.

Smells right now are the weirdest thing for me to adjust too. I smell things long before anyone else does. Plus, I can’t stand the smell of meat cooking. I can’t go to Native New Yorker on Friday’s at lunch because they have a wing special that everyone gets. The smell of wings makes me sick to my stomach. I can’t get enough of the fall smells, like pumpkin, apple cinnamon, gingerbread and hazelnut. Good thing Wal-Mart has all of those scents right now in glass candle jars for a dollar! I stocked up!

You can also now set a clock by my eating times. I have to eat no later than an hour after I get up in the morning, usually by eight. I then will be hungry at 10:30 so I leave right at 11am for lunch. I will eat something again around 2:30. Then we have dinner about 5:30. Too much later and I am getting really angry. Then I will eat for the final time usually about 8pm.

Yesterday we got a call to say all my prenatal tests came back negative. We are very thankful for that. I was a little nervous about that. We will go to the doctor in two weeks to have our check up and ultrasound. I can’t wait to find out who is right on if the baby is a boy or girl.

I started feeling the flutters this week that everyone keeps asking me about. Let me tell you my baby “boy” likes to flutter. All day when I am sitting at my desk for long periods of time he moves. Last night I was lying in bed and he kept moving whenever I was really still. John was so excited! He can’t wait until he can feel the baby moving.

I also bought my first outfit this weekend. It was only $3 so I just had to have it. I thing it is cute! I attached a picture for you to see.

Happy Reading!
